Sekonic SR-3500 / SR-6500

MarkViewTM Software provides a convenient and easy to use tool to use without needing to be a programmer. A form layout is simple and straight forward, just using just a mouse. The MarkViewTM software controls the OMR automatically and scans the form based on the layout. The data translated from the marks is immediately displayed.

Defining Your Forms

MarkViewTM uses a layout file to define each form type that is to be scanned by the OMR. The layout file formats the form to be scanned utilizing a standard menu and tool bar. Using a mouse each data area is framed as a window. Framed windows can be “Cut and Pasted” to simplify building the layout file for similar frames. When the window has been framed a Property form is used to defines the process to convert the marks within the window to the characters to be displayed. Completing the Property form provides the balance of the instructions needed to process the specified window. This process is repeated until all the data areas of the form have been framed. The layout file is then saved to used when the specified form is to be read by the OMR.

This technique allows the development of multiple layout files to provide processing of various custom or standard forms utilizing the MarkViewTM Software.

 

Reading The Forms

The MarkViewTM Software establishing communication with the PC and the Sekonic OMR automatically (Manual setup is available if required). Selecting the Layout file and clicking on the “Start reading” button will automatically begin reading the forms.. When all the forms have been processed the data can be saved to a user designated file.

Data Export

Once your forms have been read and processed, an alternative output feature supports interfacing the data with several standard spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel.
